Planning Your Holiday

If your holiday at Craigendarroch is approaching there are a few things you can do in advance to help you plan your stay. Firstly, we will be posting a booking form out to you. For all grocery packs, milk and newspapers, restaurant reservations cots, high chairs and stair gates (in applicable lodges) please complete this form and return it by mail or fax to the Lodge Reception Office.

The number of guests is restricted to the total sleeping capacity (number of beds) of each lodge. Unfortunately, additional guests can not be accommodated, apart from babies and young children using cots

Arrival and Departure

On the day of arrival, your lodge will be available from 4.00pm onwards. Check-in services are provided at Reception, in the main hotel building. Please note: credit card pre-authorizations are taken on check-in.

If you are arriving earlier in the day, then you are welcome to use The Country Club until your lodge is ready. If you anticipate arriving at a later time (or on a later day), please notify the resort in advance. This is greatly appreciated, as it assists in planning housekeeping services.

Check-out services are also at Reception, on the day of your departure at 10.00am. Your co-operation is requested to ensure that the housekeeping team has adequate time to prepare the lodge for the next guests.

If for any reason you have to cancel your holiday, please advise the relevant organisations (Hilton Craigendarroch, RCI, Interval International, etc) as soon as possible.


Complimentary wireless internet access is available in your property to help you stay connected. To access wireless from your own device, please search for available connection and select your lodge number. You will be prompted for a Security Key Number which you will find in your arrival Welcome Letter, or you can surf the internet via the television system. Please view the lodge information section for full details of entertainment facilities and equipment available in your lodge. Your charges for electricity, telephone calls, movies on demand, and all other services are payable on departure.


Please view our calendar of events for activities and events planned within the resort during your stay. Advanced booking is required as specified. Please note that events may be subject to change.

There is a wealth of activities and attractions available for you to enjoy in the local area. Please view our list of recommended websites and tourist information to assist you. Even if you are familiar with Royal Deeside, there are endless hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

Weather and Travel

The resort entrance is on the main A93 Perth – Braemar – Aberdeen road, one mile west of Ballater. The resort is 16 miles from Braemar, and 42 miles from Aberdeen.

Car Parking

Each Lodge has its own car parking spaces. Additional car parking is available in the Country Club car park.

Dry Cleaning/Laundry

We provide Monday – Friday service. Forms are available from Hotel Reception. Simply hand these forms back to Hotel Reception by 9.00am for return the next day.

Midweek Clean

Additional linen and towelling or midweek clean, may be requested through Lodge Office at an additional charge. On arrival to the resort, please arrange any servicing required with the Lodge Office.


Unfortunately pets are not permitted within the Resort at any time. There is however a range of dog boarding kennels in Aberdeenshire. For more information visit: (search Aberdeenshire)


Please be aware that Safehands Network Ltd is no longer affiliated with Hilton Worldwide. Should you require babysitting services, please call the Lodge Office on +44(0)13397 55558, and we will assist you where we can.

Smoking in the Lodges

As a courtesy to other residents please refrain from smoking in all lodge properties. The balcony area may be used, but please ensure the safe and tidy disposal of smoking material.
